LA Young Creatives Fund

In partnership with the Snap Foundation, MAF established the LA Young Creatives Fund to offer financial support to members of the creative economy whose work has been impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. LA County residents who work in creative fields may be eligible to receive a $500 grant to help cover any pressing financial needs.

Eligibility

  • Be a current resident of Los Angeles County

  • Be between the ages of 18 and 30

  • Earned income in the last 12 months from the creative economy (e.g. cultural, artistic, and design-related goods and services)

  • Experienced a loss of income as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Safer at Home initiative, and/or social distancing policy

  • Have not yet received a grant from MAF through our CA College Student Support Fund, LA Young Creatives Fund, or Immigrant Families Fund.

How to apply

  • Step 1: PRE-APPLY – Submit a pre-application today.

  • Step 2: APPLY – Depending on eligibility, equity, and available funding, we may invite you to submit a full grant application. If you are invited, you will receive an email from MAF inviting you to submit your full application in our secure portal.

  • Step 3: APPROVAL – If we approve your application, we will deposit a $500 grant directly into your bank account within 2-5 business days.

Please note: there is no guarantee that we will be able to provide assistance. We’re working hard to find additional resources from foundations and donations.
